One of the questions that we’re asked most frequently is, “What kind of materials can be etched?” The answer is, “Just about anything.” We currently use the Epilog Mini 24, a 45-watt, high speed laser engraver. Coated metals, glass, ceramic, stainless steel, marble, cork and leather are just some of the examples of materials that can be etched. In addition to etching/engraving, the Epilog system can cut a number of materials, including wood, plastic, acrylic, rubber and leather.
We can customize etching that is done on glass or some metals even further by applying a specialized, colored material to the surface of the item before the etching takes place. The result is a colorful image that has been fused to the glass. Blue and green are popular for glass items, but there are a few other colors available. Black is the only color available for metal products.
What does all this mean? Let your imagination run wild when considering what Tagged Industries can do for you. It’s likely that we can help you personalize things that you hadn’t even considered.
